Gender Represantion in Advertising
1) Find three adverts featuring women that are from the 1950s or 1960s. Save the images to your Media folder as jpegs and then import them into your blog post. Hint: You may wish to look at car, perfume or cleaning products but can use any product you wish.

In the second advert , woman are being potrayed in a way that they should be applying makeup to feel pretty . This is shown in the small writing underneath the heading . Women were forced to not feel comfortable in their own skin so many customers would be attracted and give into the media beauty standards . Women were seen to be always 'beautfiul' which pushed woman to be extremely insecure .
4) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples
In the third advert in post-2000s , there is an advert exprssing how women should be allowed to feel comfortable with their certain body type and not giving into certain ideals . We can see this as under the title it says ' but since i gained 10 pounds this new easy way , i have all the dates i want ' . This shows the before and after of women breaking the cycle of standards society have built for themsleves and being safe and secure by being naturally themselves .
5) How do your chosen adverts suggest representations of gender have changed over the last 60 years?
My adverts show that sociery have grown and deveolped overtime and building new standards to represent and help women to be okay with themselves . Over the last 60 years , women were always told they need to look a certain way which becomes tiring and downgrading so with seeing how much progress society has made overtime is upbringing .
