Denotation and connotation
In this advert , I can see a malnourished small child . The advert states ' dig toilets not graves ' which connotes to the countries lack of basic hygiene . In addition to this , their use of the word ' graves ' emphasies on the countires possible death rating . The audience may therefore feel sympathy fror these kids and donate to the company WaterAid .
In this advert for Shein , I can see women all modelling with shein clothes . They have also kept a plain whitish grey background to keep it simplified and kept minimal so the slogan can stand out . They use a bright black font so it catches the eye of people .
Connotations -
The use of the phrase ' Can it make a ciruclar fashion ' implies that they want their business to always be thriving trend forever not just something that will be forgotten about . The bright colours connote the livelyhood of their brand and show excitement and joy . In addition to this , Shein represent their use of models connote their target audience as women around their early 20s .
